Best cordless phone brand/option? My radioshack 5.8GHz is crap- always crackles- cant hear the person @ all.?
Is this b/c of interference with other wireless tech products in hte house? I heard DECT is good for this. Anyway- Target carries AT&T, Uniden, Panasonic, & VTech. If you have one of these that has lasted you 5 years plus and given you no problems, please share!

PS: Never buy from radioshack...every single product I've gotten from them has caused me a huge headache.
i've always gone with GE they last longest. the one i have now is GE 2.4 mhz model no 21025GE2a ive had it for probably 3 or 4 years. paid $70 its one with 2 handsets and answering maching, cid, it has a feature kinda like cell phones like an address book u can store up to 80 numbers in each phone, has lots of different ringtones. and its a reputable company. i got it at walmart. they probably have the best selection of phones that are easy on your wallet. im not 100% sure if they still make this model .... i went on their website and didnt find it but here are some other 2.4 ghz phones

and i wouldnt suggest uniden or vtech. i've bought both. theyre cheap and cheaply made and both stopped working in less than 6months.
the other answer is also right in if you have dsl you do need to make sure you have a filter on every phone jack in your home that is being used. i work for the phone company and sell phone service and dsl so i have a pretty good knoweledge of these things feel free to email me w/ any q's! good luck!
